No it IP bans you. So when you join a game with your ip on the list then it kicks you.

He's wondering if using the banlist during a ladder game will result in you getting banned. I'm not sure, but I think it might. It's WC3, using the banlist isn't that necessary. If you want to add someone to it, just save their username and add it in later.
