No because the beta only consists of multiplayer and you need a unique serial key like any other game.

The family and friends beta has single player and multiplayer; I don't see why this one wouldn't

Beta testing is to test for bugs, and for suggestions for gameplay.

Yeah, isn't that just glorious? Disassembling code and defining new file formats is really fun. I do it in my spare time.
